Show Culture Some Love Conference

You are invited to the third annual Show Culture Some Love Conference, organised in conjunction with SERTUC and affiliated unions including the Musicians’ Union. 

This year’s theme is “The Future of Arts & Culture”, which will be explored in two series of workshops on different aspects of equality and policy.

A plenary session featuring top speakers will be followed by four workshops that will explore equality issues:

  • Race, Racism, Art & Culture
  • Disability, Culture & Art
  • LGBT, Art & Culture, featuring MU Education & Equalities Official John Shortell sharing some of the MU’s recent equalities work
  • Gender, Art & Culture.

A second series of workshops on a number of issues relevant to the sector will look at:

  • Arts & Campaigning, featuring Dave Webster (MU National Organiser for Live Performance) talking about the MU’s experiences campaigning in the live sector
  • Arts & “Brexit”
  • Developing and taking forward the Show Culture Some Love programme
  • National Libraries and Museums Campaign.

Sandwiches and refreshments will be provided.
