The MU is delighted to work with Rock, Pop & Urban, and Traditional & International category winners of the Music for Youth National Partnership Award.
10 groups of outstanding young musicians attended a special afternoon reception on 24 September to receive their Music for Youth National Partnership Award following their performances in the Music for Youth National Festival in Birmingham, in July 2013.
The reception, hosted by the Royal Albert Hall, welcomed the first ever groups to be presented with these awards, which were launched this year as part of Music for Youth’s ongoing support of young people’s music making across the UK.
The Musicians’ Union sponsored the Rock, Pop & Urban and Traditional & International Awards.
The winners will spend a day with the MU as part of their prize.
Judith Webster, Chief Executive at Music for Youth, said “I am delighted to welcome the young musicians, music leaders and award sponsors to the Royal Albert Hall to celebrate their achievements, which we have marked through these special awards.”
