Finn Ambers is an independent singer-songwriter, recording and solo performing artist, composer, producer and author.

In May 2022, Finn released his debut single ‘A Part Of Me’.
“I said to myself: ‘it’s time to do this musical-artist-producer-author thing full-time…and maybe a few other creative things to boot.’ It’s in my nature to immerse myself in creative stuff – otherwise I’d go mad”.

Finn’s live show is a unique mix of vocal (which have been likened to Tom Waits, Dylan and Nick Cave) and guitars with strikes to the guitar body to generate percussive elements. On some songs, Finn uses bottleneck/slide. Sometimes bass and looper pedals to generate layers textures and beatsbreathe an extra dimension to Finn’s original songs which vary in genre and style. Ballads, folk, pop, country, rock, jazz among others are all influences, but he’s non-committal when it comes to labelling himself. “I go with my muse, which doesn’t want to be thrown into a box with a sticker on it.”

In June 2022, debut track ‘A Part Of Me’ was given a five-star rating and semi-finalist status in the 2022 U.K. Songwriting Contest. ‘Another Christmas’ was released on 18/11/2022 and achieved a 5-star rating and ‘commended’ award as were two other of Finn's unpublished songs.

Finn Ambers was born and raised in a small town in the north-west of England, U.K., where he acquired the humour of good sense and an interest in words and music. He started playing guitar back in the ‘80s aged 14 (or was it 13?) and was performing in local bands in Lancashire soon after. The compulsion to write and perform original songs followed, as did engineering and producing demos...“back then, I used a Tascam 4 track onto on cassette tape”. It wasn't long before he was leading his own band as lead singer and lead guitarist.

In the 2000s, Finn’s band landed gigs supporting Dodgy and The James Taylor Quartet, but performing music took a back seat whilst Finn investigated authordom.

The songwriting and producing candles never dimmed and Finn aims to release his first album in 2023.

Finn Ambers now resides in North Wales, UK.
