Mental Health First Aid Training

This two-day course aims to improve mental health awareness and help people in the creative sectors to recognise the signs and symptoms of someone with mental health conditions.

One person in four will experience some form of mental health condition in the course of a year. Mental Health First Aid (Wales) training can help improve lives.

The course does not train you to be a therapist, counsellor or mental health professional, but it will increase your confidence in working with vulnerable adults.

It will teach you how to:

  • give initial help to someone experiencing a mental health problem
  • deal with a crisis situation or the first signs of someone developing mental ill health
  • guide people towards appropriate support

Participants who complete the full two days will receive a certificate of attendance from Training in Mind Wales. Please note the course content has not been tailored to the creative sector.
