Potential new BBC Scotland Channel

The BBC is proposing significant changes and major investments across the UK and wants to do more to recognise the importance of spending more of the licence fee, raised in Scotland, on Scottish content and services.

The BBC is therefore currently undertaking a Public Interest Test and consultation on the proposal, which - if approved by Ofcom - could see a new BBC Channel for Scotland.  The Musicians’ Union is involved in the initial consultative talks and will be making a submission to this consultation, the deadline for which is 25th July.
