Series of ‘How to Release Your Music’ Workshops Rolled Out Across the North of England

The Musicians’ Union (MU) and PRS for Music have collaborated to create a series of workshops for all musicians, artists, writers and producers who are interested in releasing their own material.

Now, more than ever before, musicians and artists are taking a DIY approach to creating, releasing and exploiting their music. Some are self-releasing with the hope of securing a future record deal, and others see it as a long-term strategy for their careers.

If you are planning to release your own music, then it is vital you understand the fundamentals of the music industry and how you can generate revenue.

The workshops will be held in:

The workshops will take an in-depth look at copyright law, legal issues, collecting royalties and other essential subjects. They will be followed Q&A sessions and networking drinks.

All events are free to attend, but numbers are limited so please book your place in advance. You can view and book the individual events using the links above.

If you have any questions or specific access requirements, please contact the MU North of England Regional office on 0161 236 1764 or manchester@theMU.org.
