May Day Marches Across Scotland and Northern Ireland

Members are encouraged to join a May Day March, where trade unionists and the labour movement will come together to celebrate efforts to improve workers’ rights.

May Day marches will be taking place throughout Scotland and Northern Ireland at the following times and locations:

 

Belfast

When: Saturday 4 May 2019

Assemble: Buoy Park, College of Art Gardens

Speeches: 11:30 am

March off: 12:00 pm

Organised by Irish Congress of Trade Unions

 

Dundee

When: Saturday 4 May 2019

Assemble: 11:40 am at Unite the Union Office's car park, Blackness Road

March off: 12:00 pm

Rally: Burns Statue in Albert Square 1:30 pm

Organised by Dundee Trades Union Council

 

Edinburgh

When: Saturday 4 May 2019

Assemble: 11:30 am on Johnston Terrace (Top end)

March off: 12:00 pm

Irvine

When: Saturday 4 May 2019

Assemble: 11:30am at Vineburgh Community Centre, Quarry Road

Rally: Speakers, stalls and entertainment at 1:00 pm
