The organisation is asking artists, composers, writers and producers to fill in their 2019 survey – allowing them to analyse trends and document day-to-day conditions in the UK music business.

The document is a key asset to industry professionals, politicians, policymakers, journalists and other stakeholders. You can read last year's report here.

Their last report revealed that the UK music industry contributed £4.5bn to the UK economy and sustained over 145,000 jobs.

The data gathered from this survey will be used to:

  • Shape industrial strategy for the creative industries, and fight against the threats to grassroots music – like the closure of some of the country’s cherished music venues.
  • Make the case for the music industry to the Government and politicians.
  • Fight to protect the value of copyright and intellectual property and get a fair deal for everyone from creators to investors.

But most of all it will mean the value of your work as a music industry professional will be recognised and acknowledged.

The deadline for completion has now been extended to Friday 7 June. If you are a musician, songwriter, composer, producer, engineer or artist, please take the survey.
