Guildhall School Launches Mindfulness for Performers Course

Guildhall School is running a practical evening course to support musicians and actors in their lives and creative work by reducing stress.

Through meditation and re-connecting with the body, participants can learn how to bring awareness to the present moment and relate differently with stress, anxiety and depression.

This eight-week course will explore themes such as stepping out of automatic pilot, working with obstacles including self-criticism and performance anxiety and learning how to cultivate stage presence.

Regular Mindfulness practice can help you to:

  • Stay present in daily life
  • Experience the natural connection between our mind and body
  • Recognise the inner critic and relate differently with difficult thoughts, feelings and emotions
  • Savour pleasant experiences

The course will be running for eight-weeks, on Wednesday evenings 6, 13, 20 and 27 February, 12, 20 and 27 March and Monday evening 4 March. The full price of the course is £250.

Find out more and book your place on the Guildhall website.
