The Welsh funding body today announced the details for it’s Urgent Response Fund, open to freelance creative practitioners who are experiencing financial hardship due to disruption from COVID-19.

The fund is open to freelance professionals whose work has “direct creative outcomes,” – this includes musicians. Those who would usually be freelancing alongside part-time employment will also be considered. However, your freelance work must be based in Wales.

The fund is offering grants of up to £2,500 and will be holding two rounds of funding. Please remember that funds are limited, so you should only apply if you have no alternative source of income.

The first funding round will open for applications on Tuesday 14 April, and the deadline will be 12:00 pm (midday) on Monday 20 April.

For more information on the fund, eligibility criteria and details on how to apply see Arts Council of Wales’ website.
