New Contract for Online Teaching

We’ve put together a new contract for teachers moving to online work. The contract can be used digitally, and should cover potential changes to your practice.

In light of government advice on social distancing, the MU recommends that all face-to-face teaching should stop and be replaced by online teaching where possible.

Teachers moving to online lessons might find it useful to update their teaching contracts to reflect this new way of working.

Teachers of children may especially wish to have signed consent from parents, indicating that the parent of guardian is fully aware that online contact for teaching is occurring. This is covered by our new contract.

The contract for teaching online can be downloaded directly from our website and emailed to students, parents or guardians. It is a digital PDF and can be fully completed online.

The MU Returns to Great Escape Festival 2024

As part of our work with the Council of Music Makers, the MU will be taking part in various panel events during the festival’s industry conference, which is being held 15 - 18 May in Brighton. Some of our Officers will also be available for one-to-ones for any members attending.
