Recording Studio Guidance Published by Scottish Government

The guidance came into effect immediately on publication, on 30 June 2020, and will apply until further notice.

The guidance details how – in line with the Scottish Government’s lockdown phase two – non-office based indoor workplaces can now operate. However, some studios may open at a later date due to their individual circumstances and the required preparatory work for ensuring physical distancing and enhanced hygiene measures.

The MU was consulted, and fed into, the creation of this guidance. We have also been involved in the Scottish Government’s development of other creative industries guidance on Events, Performing Arts and Venues – which are still due to be released.
